  • Does MCHC accept my insurance? +

    MCHC accepts all major insurances. Visit our Accepted Insurance Carriers page to view a full list of plans with their corresponding insurance specialist's contact information.
  • Who can get prescriptions filled at the pharmacy? +

    On-Site pharmacy services at MCHC are offered to patients and community residents.
  • How can I transfer my prescription from another pharmacy to the CVS Pharmacy at MCHC? +

    Switching is easy. Simply bring in your existing prescription container or call the CVS Pharmacy at (617) 898-1282. The CVS Pharmacy will take care of the rest.
  • Is off-street parking available at the Mattapan Community Health Center? +

    Patient and visitor parking is available Monday thru Friday starting at 7:45 am and on Saturday starting at 8:45 am. Parking is located at 1575 Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan at the rear of our building and is available until the closing of business. It is accessed by way of our driveway entrance from Blue Hill Avenue.
  • How can I refill my prescriptions at the pharmacy? +

    Simply call the CVS Pharmacy with your refill request and a pharmacist will be happy to assist you. The Mattapan location of CVS can be reached at (617) 898-1282.                                                                     
  • How do I sign up for MassHealth? +

    Please make an appointment to visit our Health Insurance Counselor to apply for MassHealth.
  • How will Obamacare affect my Medicare benefits? +

    The Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as Obamacare, will not have any effect on Medicare. People receiving Medicare benefits do not need to reapply through the Health Connector.
  • I am currently receiving health insurance benefits from the state. Do I need to reapply for 2018 insurance? +

    If you are a current Commonwealth Care member and need to re-apply for health insurance, you should get information in the mail explaining the steps, you need to take.
